Rob sat on the hood of his car, a half drunk cup of coffee nursed in his hands as he stared at a couple of cows standing under a tree in the paddock across the road. Home from his posting in Iraq yet again, and back in Littlerock. The only problem was, it didn't feel like 'home' anymore. In fact, being in the town alone where everyone seemed to know everyone else had aggravated him so much, he got in his car and just drove, finding himself halfway between Littlerock and the next town over before he stopped the car on the side of the road and got out for some fresh air. It was a quiet country road which saw little traffic and was hugged between surrounding paddocks of nearby farms. It was peaceful, and peace was what he needed to try and isolate some of the thoughts swirling around in his head.

( Apparently Ellie was still 'out of town', according to an old friend of Rob's parents. It took all of Rob's self-control not to snort and respond with 'Thank fuck'... )

Okay, so collectively in the episodes of Drive that were released, Rob maybe got 15 minutes of footage before the show got cancelled, if he was lucky. So, I've cut all his canon scenes and put them into a collection of videos, mostly for my own reference. This includes his scenes from episode 1x05 and 1x06 that never got shown on TV and were only released on the internet.

Everything else I've built into his canon has mostly come from speculative articles, articles from the producers released intidicating what they had in store for the characters before it got cancelled and a wee bit of artistic licence. I've stuck to his character as much as someone can with only fifteen minutes of canon to draw on. However, it has been a wonderful blank canvas to write a character that never got a chance in canon. I'm a real sucker for those types.
